Lucy Porter Shaw was born at 4:05pm on 8th October, weighing 8.2 lbs! Very chunky with a pretty remarkable head of hair--she looks like Elvis! We are thrilled to have her here! Because the labour was a bit longer with a few unexpected twists, we ended up staying in the hospital for five extra days so that Lucy and I could be monitored while on some precautionary antibiotics. Very happy to be HOME now though, and slowly settling in to the new routine! We had our first outing this morning, didn't go far but it was fun to get Lucy out for some fresh air and a short stroll!
Welcome, Lucy and congrats to you, Julie and Gavin! What a beautiful baby girl!! Tim and I are eager to hear more about your new adventures in parenthood. We are so happy for you two. Can't wait to introduce our girls in 2011! Love, Emily
